Tammy Sorrento - Allstate
Tammy began her career as an agent for American Insurance Underwriters. When she realized her passion was claims, she began working at Carolina Casualty Insurance Company in 2001. She obtained experience in Property Damage, Bodily Injury and Serious Losses in the Commercial Transportation Market. In 2010, she networked within the JCA and was hired by Allstate to handle represented claims. Her current position is the Operations Performance Leader for the Jacksonville office. She has been a member of the JCA since 2001 and served as the Treasurer and most recently the Community Outreach Chair.

Jeanette Lanier - Citizens Property Insurance Corporation
Jeanette began her career in the insurance industry in 1977 with USAA Cupertino, Ca. Upon moving back to Jacksonville, she worked with the commercial trucking company, CCIC, in the first party unity where she obtained her multi-line adjuster's license. In 1983, she joined Hanover Insurance Company. Jeanette has been with Citizens for more than seven years as a Liability Adjuster. Jeanette has been a member of the JCA since 1980, she held the position of treasurer, and a volunteer of the golf outings for many years.
Polly App – Allstate
Polly started her insurance career at Nationwide Insurance Company, while she was going to school at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She has worked for Independent Fire Insurance Company, Crawford and Company, Scibal Associates and Florida Insurance Guarantee Association and Landstar. She is currently handling claims in the Represented Segment for Allstate Claims Department. Polly has been a member of the Claims Association for many years.
Cynthia Rodda – Allstate
Cindy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 1987. She began her career with Allstate in 1988. Cindy holds the designation of Senior Claims Law Associate from the American Educational Institute and is a Panelist for Arbitration Forums. She has been an active member of the JCA for several years and served the office of Treasurer previously.
Deborah Burgess – Carolina Casualty Insurance Co.
Deborah (Debbie) has 30 years of experience in the transportation industry. She earned her Associate Degree in Insurance Management from Florida Junior College in 2002 while employed by International Transit Trucking Company as their Safety Director and Risk Manager. Her career in the commercial insurance industry began in 2003 at Carolina Casualty Insurance Co. Deborah continued her college education, and upon receipt of her Paralegal Studies Degree in 2006 was promoted to bodily injury adjuster at Carolina Casualty, a position she still holds.

Natalie Johnson – Allstate
Natalie Johnson began her career with Allstate in 1977 and is currently an Unrep Staff Claim adjuster. She has held many positions within the company and worked in numerous disciplines during her career, including managing an Unrep Unit and Subrogation. She transferred to Jacksonville in 2002. She holds the designation of Senior Claims Law Associate from AEI and is a Panelist for Arbitration forums. She has been an active member of the JCA for several years and has served on the Board of Directors.

John O’Dell – Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council
John is the Executive Director of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council Inc. (CCPAC) Jacksonville, Fla. He has more than 25 years experience in the transportation industry specializing in cargo legal liability claims, cargo loss prevention and cargo security. John was formerly Director of Risk Management for Landstar at its Corporate Campus. John attended Kent State and is a graduate of Service and Administrative Institute in Integrated Quality Management. He earned his Certified Claims Professional (CCP) designation in 1983. He also is a Certified Claims Adjuster (CCA) and is an independent all lines adjuster. He currently serves as a Carrier Arbitrator for Transportation Arbitration Board.

James C. Rinaman III – James Rinaman III and Associates, PA
A Florida native, James (Jim) earned his B.S. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Florida State University in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army with the Judge Advocate Corps from 1990 to 1996, and also in the Florida National Guard. Jim is a member of the Florida Bar, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Medical Claims Defense Network, and the Jacksonville Bar Association. After practicing with two insurance defense firms from 1997 to 2003, he founded James C. Rinaman III & Associates, PA, practicing throughout North Florida, with offices in Jacksonville.

Judi Zills – Mutual Risk Services
Judi obtained her MBA from Jacksonville University in 2004. She began adjusting claims in 1974 with Crawford & Company in Lakeland, Fla. and obtained her State all-lines 5-20 license in 1975. Judi relocated to Jacksonville in 1982 with Cigna in their workers’ comp center. Subsequently, she worked with Zenith Insurance Company for 10 years as a Senior Field and Fraud Investigator. She is currently with Mutual Risk Services Inc. as an All-Lines Senior Field Investigator. She is an active member of the JCA.

Karen earned her graduate degree from Webster University in Human Resource Development and Management. She began her career at State Farm in 1982, and has had a claims career since then. Karen has also worked at Progressive Insurance Company. She presently works at Allstate Insurance Co. as a Staff Claims Adjuster and is an active member of the JCA.

Holly Douglas – ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration
Holly is the Business Development Director for ServiceMaster Cleaning and Restoration based in Volusia and Flagler counties, Fla. For the past six years, she has been Subrogation I and II Certified, a State Certified Residential Contractor, Certified Mold Remediator and Assessor, and a continuing education provider and instructor for the Department of Financial Services and Department of Business and Professional Regulations for Community Association Managers.

Sonya Ananias - Housing Headquarters
Sonya is the Regional Sales Manager at Housing Headquarters. She began her career with State Farm Insurance Company in 1998 as a Field Property Specialist. After nearly 5 years as a field adjuster she took on the opportunity to work at Housing Headquarters. Starting as an internal relocation manager she then moved on to the sales and marketing team. With her drive and determination, she has continued to open new territories for Housing Headquarters in the southwest and southeast United States. She has continued to shape the company to better serve adjusters and policyholders on a national basis.

Jason Hisey, AIC, AIS, ACA - HISI, Inc
Jason is a seasoned all-lines insurance adjuster and appraiser with HISI, Inc. He earned his B.S. degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. Jason joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 2000 and has completed three combat deployments to Iraq and one humanitarian deployment to ground zero of Hurricane Katrina where he volunteered to participate in rescue and recovery operations. He is currently a Gunnery Sergeant at Company D, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division. Jason is also a seasoned catastrophe manager and has continually participated in catastrophe work since 2003. He has earned his Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) professional designations and has completed the Certificate in General Insurance (INS), WIND Certified Umpire, WIND Certified Appraiser and IAUA Certified Property Insurance Appraiser and Umpire (CPAU) certifications. Jason holds a seat on several insurance organization committees to include the Windstorm Insurance Network (WIND), the Orlando Claims Association (OCA) and the Jacksonville Claims Association (JCA).

Heather began her career in the insurance industry as a secretary for a local claims office. She obtained her adjuster’s license and has been in the casualty business for many years with various insurance carriers as a staff adjuster. In 2010, Heather began working as an independent adjuster doing property, auto and general liability claim investigations with Kerlin Claim Service.
